Namring Upper, Darjeeling Tea, First Flush Tea, High Elevation Darjeeling Tea - Teacupsfull

Our teas are picked from a section of the tea gardens in Darjeeling between 3500 and 5000 feet in elevation, one of the highest in the region. Higher elevations teas tend to be rarer as the tea bushes have a lower yield - the tea leaves bloom more slowly, allowing for more flavour. Well made leaves of a slightly larger kind with a liberal sprinkling of silver tips. Delicate yet pronounced floral aroma with a pleasing and lasting after taste.

Quantity: 100 gm

Flavour of the Tea: Delicate notes of aromatic flowers are discernible against a mellow undercurrent of grilled greens. The liquor is smooth, light, and easy on the palate

Compliments: A great accompaniment to egg dishes; creamy desserts.

Brewing Instructions: Always use fresh water. Bring water to near boiling point. Take one teaspoon of tea leaves in a cup. Pour the heated water and steep the tea for 4-5 mins.  Adjust the time of brewing as per desired strength. Leaves can be steeped multiple times till it gives flavour.

Tea Master Recommendation: Best enjoyed without milk. Can add honey and lemon to taste.  Always use fresh water. Do not use re-boiled water. The brewed leaves can be steeped multiple times with an increase in steeping time. Sip it when it cools down a little instead of boiling hot for enhanced flavour.
