Flavor of the Tea: The liquor is sweet, full-bodied, well balanced and smooth tasting. It starts out on a brisk floral note, which lingers well into the middle. Look for notes of citrus around the edges.

Compliments: Steamed seafood, salads with creamy dressing, tropical fruit, and cheese.

Brewing Instructions: Always use fresh water. Bring water to near boiling point. Take one teaspoon of tea leaves in a cup. Pour the heated water and steep the tea for 4-5 mins.  Adjust the time of brewing as per desired strength. Leaves can be steeped multiple times till it gives flavor.

Tea Master Recommendation: Best enjoyed without milk. Can add honey and lemon to taste.  Always use fresh water. Do not use re-boiled water. The brewed leaves can be steeped multiple times with an increase in steeping time. Sip it when it cools down a little instead of boiling hot for enhanced flavor.

About the Garden: Castleton is one of the most renowned of all Darjeeling estates, it is the crème de la crème of all Goodricke’s gardens. It was planted in 1885 by Dr. Charles Graham.
